Week of September 23

Last week Thursday, the students were very excited to be able to have Library again!  They got to check out books this time, that we are keeping in our classroom to read for right now.  We will be having Library every other week on Thursdays.

This week should be a fun short week.  We have our field trip to Safety Town on Thursday and no school on Friday.

This week we will be continuing to talk about the Holy Family.  Students drew pictures of the Holy Family and their families last week.  This week we will be looking at how the Holy Family obeyed God and showed love for each other and for God and ways we can show love for others and for God.

We have started our first unit in Adventures of the Superkids.  Students also read the first story called A Patch in a Pinch.  This week we will be reading a poem and another story.  We will also be working on the spelling pattern words and memory words.  I have a couple of spelling games that we will be playing this week to help review the words.  During our writing time we will continue working on writing about things we have done.
